When I first thought of cupcakes with Turkish delight I was ecstatic, it was a perfect way to use the lovely Turkish delight with hazelnuts inside that I had in the pantry. Hubby loves Turkish delight, but, as me, he thinks that it is too sweet to eat it on its own.
I’ve also made an apricot and soft cheese sauce as I wanted something sharp to complement the cupcakes.
Ingredients for 6 cupcakes with turkish delight:
– 70g white self raising flour
– 40g wholemeal self raising flour
– 60g sugar
– 1 egg
– 100 ml milk
– 30 ml oil
– 1/2 tsp baking powder
– 6 pieces of Turkish delight
Bake the cupcakes in the pre-heated oven at 200C/180Cfan for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
