I made this peanut butter and banana pinwheel yesterday using only 4 ingredients and they were delicious. I used a ready made roll of puff pastry I already had in the fridge. When I bought the pastry I had no idea what I want to do with it. The idea of pairing up peanut butter and banana was a great one.
Ingredients for 10 pieces:
– 1 roll of ready made puff pastry
– 2 bananas
– 1 big spoon of very smooth peanut butter
– 25g sugar and icing sugar for dusting
Preheat the oven at 200C or 180C fan. Roll the pastry on the worktop. Spread the peanut butter on the pastry and sprinkle the sugar on top. Crush the bananas and spread them on top of the pastry.
Roll the pastry as tight as possible. If you have time, leave it in the fridge for 10 minutes. Cut the pastry into 10 pieces and lay them flat on a baking tray lined with baking parchment. Bake them for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Leave them to cool on a cooling rack. Sprinkle icing sugar on them and serve.
