Corn Chowder

This recipe is part of Taste the World challenge. Chowder is a type of soup, originated from north America. It was made with corn or seafood and the base of the dish is either milk or cream.

Corn Chowder, american recipe of a traditional dish.

Ingredients for 4 servings:
– 1 onion
– 400g creamed corn (I’ve made it as I didn’t have any.)
– 300g corn
– 700ml vegetable stock
– 300ml milk
– olive oil

Traditional Corn Chowder recipe, part of the American cuisine. Suitable for vegetarians.
Saute the chopped onion in olive oil for a couple of minutes.

Traditional American recipe of soup Chowder.
Heat the milk and cream on the hob. Put the corn on top and stir until is starting to reduce.
I didn’t measure the milk or cream. It was enough to barely cover the corn.

Corn Chowder recipe.
When the onions start to get brown, add the rest of the ingredients. Stir the soup and bring to boil.

American, easy Chowder recipe.
Add salt and pepper to the soup and leave it to boil for a few minutes.

I topped the soup with a few fresh coriander leaves.
