Mushrooms and peanut butter can sound strange for some people, but I got excited when I’ve read a similar recipe in a newspaper. I’ve made a few twists and this is my recipe. Sometimes I use chilli oil, sometimes I make the dish with a green chilli paste.
Ingredients for 2 servings for Spicy mushrooms with peanut butter:
– 500g mushrooms
– 1 teaspoon of chilli oil
– 1 spoon of oil
– 2 spoons of peanut butter
Chop the mushrooms and put them on the hob at medium heat in the oil. Let them cook gently. Add the chilli oil or the paste.
Add the peanut butter and mix. You can use any type of nut butter: almonds, pistachio, hazelnuts. Keep in mind that the texture and taste might be slightly different though.
